EKIM raises 2.2M euros with Partech & daphni: food robolution is on the move

EKIM, the French start-up of Food Tech, created at the end of 2013, raises its first institutional fundraising of 2.2 million euros with the investment funds Partech and daphni. On this occasion, Jérôme Tafani, CEO of Quick and Burger King France, joins the EKIM Strategic Committee.

Imagined by two young French engineers, Sébastien Roverso and Cyrill Hamon and directed by Philippe Goldman, ex l’Oréalien, EKIM intends to revolutionize the world food tech and announces the creation of the first 100% autonomous restaurant with pizzaïolos robots cooking in front of the customer!

With this fundraising and the technology developed, EKIM is launching the commercial development of a new fast food solution with global potential. The startup’s goal is to start a new turnkey concept of quality fast food (« tech good food« ) with a worldwide ambition which will be developed under franchise or licence in 2019 after a pilot in France at the end of 2018 – under the name PAZZI.

The PAZZI project: The « Food robolution » made in France!

PAZZI, which will be marketed by EKIM, is a turnkey « tech good food » fast food concept offering pizza (and drinks, desserts, and salads). Several formats will be available under franchise or licence from 2019 onwards: seated mode, takeaway, food court or drive-in at term.

Thanks to technology (robots, applications, and data analysis), the model developed by EKIM makes it possible to fight against « junk food, » and to offer customers an enriched catering experience: better quality of ingredients, optimal service time, ultra personalization and guaranteed entertainment, « show cooking. » 100% autonomous, from order to delivery, robots require no human intervention. Also, it is the first remotely controllable recovery point.

EKIM will introduce its world innovation at Viva Technology 2018 during a press conference on May 25 from 12:00 to 12:30 (in the press room on accreditation) and with press interviews from 12:30 to 13:00 in the presence of its CEO, a founder, and the Chief. For the occasion, a presentation will take place at the Discovery Arena of the Hall of Tech on 24 May at 14:30 and 25 May at 13:50.
