Opening of the Web2day Global Challenge, an international startup competition

For its 10th edition, the Web2day festival launches its international competition for startups in Nantes (France): the Global Challenge.

Startups have until midnight April 25th to apply. Only startups under 5 years old seeking to raise funds can participate. The list of selected startups will be announced in early May.

As every year since its creation, several hundred startups are competing, but only 50 will have the chance to pitch in front of a jury of experts and the 6,000 participants. It’s happening on June 14th and 15th during the Web2day.

Each startup will have 4 minutes (pitch in English) to convince the jury and compete in the grand final which will take place on Friday, June 15th. In addition to participating in the contest, startups will receive two 3-day passes for the event.

What’s new this year?

Web2day multiplies the business opportunities for startups. By associating with two strong structures of the national ecosystem, France Digitale Tour and BigUp For Startup, the Global Challenge offers 2 rich and intense days: VC pitch, networking sessions, key account pitches and personalized and qualified business meetings with potential customers.
