Kâtch: What if the music becomes anonymous? A new ingenious French mobile app.
Are you really objective about the quality of music while listening? Kâtch answers that question.
This young company aims to introduce music in a new way.
Kâtch wants to create a system of equal opportunity among musicians; the platform offers listeners 15-second anonymous clips based on their tastes.
The idea is not to be influenced during his listening by hiding the artist’s name throughout his discovery. Once the music is appreciated, listeners just have to “kâtch” it (to like it) via a swipe system and thus discover who the author is.
Combining productivity and simplicity, the app allows users to discover music but also to be active in promoting the musician: the more “kâtch” they will have, the more popular they will be.
As an artist, you can analyze your performances and discover your audience: the attractiveness rate, the number of listeners, the country, the city and more.
There are no limits, and no adds as long as you are discovering artists. Keep in mind that it’s not going to replace streaming music app such as Spotify or Deezer while it’s not the purpose of Kâtch.
In Beta test since March 2018, Kâtch expects nearly 20,000 users by the end of the year.
Do you want to try the experience? You can download their mobile app from the App store or the Play store.
