HAIKU, the GPS for cyclists, is finally available!
With HAIKU, you don’t need to get your smartphone out. ASPHALT Lab. has designed it for urban cyclists.
HAIKU works just like a smartwatch: it connects to your smartphone, and give you access to important information such as the navigation, the phone calls and messages, and some stats about your ride.
You just have to fix your HAIKU on the handlebar – which is easy due to their quick-fix system -, connect it, and go!
Even to control it they thought about it: it is gesture controlled. It means that even if you wear gloves, it will work perfectly.
In a few numbers, HAIKU it’s 3 years of development, 3 passionate founders, and 300k€ raised through different sources: crowdfunding, business angel, loan… Quite a small amount to create a product like this one!
The result:
1100 products delivered to date to backers and customers. Half of which is abroad, which is essential to establish itself as a leader in this emerging market.
HAIKU also won the FNAC Startup Award in 2016 and was present at the CES in 2017.
Today the team works mainly on the continuous improvement of the product and the preparation of its marketing in store.
