Helloneko : from Paris to Cambridge – From Cambridge to New-York City!

Hi there!

Many of you don’t know helloneko, or us personally, but we would like to share our personal experience as entrepreneurs who moved from country to country.

We – Jeremy and Elsa – have been working together for many years as a web designer and web developer. But not only: We managed a store in Paris, we created an e-commerce, a food supplement brand for sport, a web agency, or even a web app to manage diabetes. We did many different things as you can see!

With our background – which is unique we think – we knew we have enough to share to help entrepreneurs like us: creative and freelances.

Last year, we had an opportunity to move to Cambridge in the UK, and we did it. It was a great experience: the first time that we lived abroad, the first time we joined an incubator, and the first time we created a company in another country than France!

Before summer 2017, a new opportunity came: New-York City, and we seized it!

But why leaving? Why everything in English?

CHALLENGE!

Challenging ourselves was important.

Also, didn’t you have this feeling that everything is going in circles sometimes? We did, and that is a big motivation too.

And to be honest, New-York is an amazing city, and so you can imagine that it wasn’t a big sacrifice!
We have a lot of ideas and a lot to do while we are here, and it’s not only visiting museums but most importantly, meet people!

Very soon, you will be able to follow us as we are going to do Vlogs on the future helloneko’s YouTube Channel.

Helloneko has been created to help entrepreneurs like us. We started by proposing what we were doing at the time: website creation/web design.

We wanted to offer something different, something that we think can be perfectly adapted to the type of entrepreneurs we want to help, who don’t want to bother with things like a website. It can take time, money, and energy. That’s why, in our offer, we wanted something simple, something hassle-free.

We imagined something like this: You buy clothes on the internet, right? So why ordering a website should be much complicated? We worked in that direction.

You can learn more about it HERE.

That’s our “Phase 1”.

“Phase 2”, is still helping entrepreneurs, but through our blog.

When we joined the Eagle Labs of Cambridge, we interviewed the director, Benjamin Storey, and we did a small reportage about the space.

That gave us an idea: Do more reportage of co-working spaces, incubators, accelerators and working space in general, to make you discover it.

We do not only describe what we see on their internet website. We go there for a tour, and we talk to the people that are working here, to the staff or the founder(s). So, we can check that everything that can make you feel great to work there is in the space.

We believe that if we do it this way, we will be able to describe it accurately.

The particularity that we are looking for is to make you discover unique spaces that might boost your creativity, business networking, or if the concept is unique if they propose great events.

In this blog, you will also find interviews of people: entrepreneurs, business angel, and fundraisers (not exhaustive).

We think that when someone who’s successful share his experience, it’s always good to hear from them!

Everything we can give you to succeed.

We are still developing helloneko, and in the future we will create new services, still to help entrepreneurs to start, grow and succeed.

As soon as we have something new, we will let you know about that on the blog, social media, and our Vlogs.

Don’t hesitate to comment, ask us questions, send us an email, discuss between you in the comment section. We would love to see you exchange here!

Cya!
